I am a 32 year old male. I am in good physical condition. Just last week while on the job, my vision became very blurry and I felt like I might pass out. I have never experienced this before. I was sent to have an EKG and it came back with abnormal results. I was sent to have another one the next day and it came back fine. Since that time I have started having this pain in my chest right around my heart. It is a pain that isn't unbearable, but annoying. Feels like something is getting tighter and rumbling around my heart. Also, I have been having severe burping episodes. Is this something I should be concerned about? Such as having a heart attack?
Your abnormal EKG that you had was probably nothing since you had another one that was fine. My EKG's are always a little off so I was sent for an echocardiogram which was fine, so in my case that's just the way it is. An EKG is not always accurate, but generally is when it comes to detecting a heart attack in the making or showing if there was a recent heart attack. As for the blurry vision and chest pain, it could be from anxiety since anxiety could produce symptoms that are very real, yet not dangerous. If you are not totally convinced you are fine just based on your EKG, you could always have an echocardiogram or suggest further testing of some kind. The fact that you also have been burping a lot would definitely suggest acid reflux so maybe trying an antacid of some kind may help and if that is the case, you would know it is most likely a GI problem and not heart related.

What were the abnormal results? What did the EKG say?

It seems like their could be a relationship between your new unexpected symptoms and your heart's electrical system.
I was sent to have another one the next day and it came back fine.
When the heart's electrical system is behaving itself, it will show up with a normal EKG. So...... as long as whatever irritated your heart doesn't happen again, you might not experience the same symptoms or irregular EKG again.
Since that time I have started having this pain in my chest right around my heart. It is a pain that isn't unbearable, but annoying. Feels like something is getting tighter and rumbling around my heart.
Do you know what your blood pressure has been lately? How about your blood sugar? How are you cholesterol and triglyceride levels?

Do you eat a healthy diet and get plenty of demanding exercise?
Also, I have been having severe burping episodes. Is this something I should be concerned about? Such as having a heart attack?
When the body is under stress, such as when there is a problem within the coronary system, the body produces extra chemicals ( hormones and cytokines ), in an attempt to get things working correctly again. These excess body chemicals can cause all kinds of annoying symptoms and problems.

What is your next step? Are you going to have further tests, at least a complete blood count (CBC)?
