Heart or Anxiety
Feb 18, 2017
... For the last few years I have had a flutter in my chest, a pounding heartbeat (especially after I eat) and at times I feel like my heart is flipping or jumping. Sometimes my heart beat is normal and sometimes I feel it skip a beat. I have always had normal EKG's and last year I had a normal Holter Monitor with PVC's. Any suggestions? tiff-cher (3 replies)

... I'm a 31 year old male. Generally healthy although I suffer from health anxiety. 4 weeks ago I've got a weird feeling in my chest and I measured my heart rate in my neck. My heart rhythm was all over the place. Several weirdly timed beats in a row. I coughed and it stopped. It lasted like 5-7 seconds. A bit later I had the exact same experience two more times. 2 days ago... (3 replies)

... Hi All, So last night I got home from work, did some cleaning around my place then sat down to relax. I started to notice a skipped beat - ok no biggie, we've all had them. Then a few seconds later another, couple normal beats another. Of course I start working myself up (im anxious) but they kept happening. At this point I'm full blown freaking out because I never... ... During an ECG, if the heart is not misbehaving, there are less opportunities for something showing up. You post reminds me of my own experiences with Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT). I am 71. When I was 17, I started experiencing my heart stopping, with me almost passing out, and then a hard thump, followed by a rapid heart rate of about 160 bpm. My heart... (2 replies)

... The same way you live with the odds of a car wreck, lung cancer from second hand smoke, etc, etc. Odds are very can't worry about every little thing. No one's body completely runs exactly like it should. Get your anxiety under control and this will probably go away (4 replies)
... Or even the possibility of it running into Vtach? Three or more pvc's is a run of Vtach which I read on google can lead to dangerous arrhythmias. But I also read they are harmless these pvc's. So how likely can these pvc's lead to Vtach in a structurally normal heart. I asked the cardiologist this a while ago...he said it's highly unlikely. But how do you live your life with... (4 replies)
... Pvc's are almost always benign. I wouldn't give them a second thought. Low blood sugar, dehydration, many things can cause them. Just live your life. It's normal. (4 replies)
... I did have chronic anxiety last year but I sort of got through it. HOWEVER. This is where you could maybe help shed some light.. Ever since my fear rose from svt, I started getting pvc's. ... (4 replies)
... Well, after the very quick flutter I feel adrenaline being released and my heart starts racing, but I would say my BPM is 140 (maybe a little more, maybe a little less). But I'm pretty sure I'm in Sinus Tachy during this time, but I just feel a little panicky. I have health anxiety (which I'm trying to work on beating) and I'm guessing that maybe because of the nature of the... (2 replies)

... our exercise capacity. You might also try taking Mg 400mg a day, as that will sometimes help calm the electrical system of heart that triggers the skipped beats. Anxiety itself can cause them, so just remember, they aren't dangerous, even though they bother you. ... (6 replies)

... I suffer what you also have. I have a fast heart rate, irregular heartbeats and so on. So I know what you are going through. I have learned much from just reading old post on here and so on..I am NOT a doctor so just take my advice with a grain of salt.
