I think the 4.5 5o 5.0 cm. for aortic arch aneurism in Marfan's will be the "optional" point at least until they can get the risk of a graft down to near zero and perhaps some sort of percutaneous procedure instead of the open heart surgery (never a walk in the park.) ... Debz, An 8 cm aortic aneurism is huge and very serious. He should have immediate surgery. Probably a second opinion is needed at this point. IF he cannot have surgery he will increase the length of his survival time by keeping his blood pressure as low as drugs can get it.
