Overeating contributes to GERD in my opinion because the overstuffed stomach then allows the acids to come up the esophagus a bit particularly if the digestive valve no longer works correctly. ... Esophagus or heart

... heart disease. I do know that a hiatal hernia can do a lot of damage to the esophagus, from allowing stomach acid to "backflow" from the stomach into the esophagus, and cause GERD. ... (2 replies)
