A friend of mine gets cold sores and one day we were talking when she had an obvious cold sore on her lip at the time and some of her spit got on my lip as I was licking my lips and it got in my mouth. I've been freaking out for the past week! Is it possible to get oral herpes this way. I've read that you can get by skin to skin contact and not through saliva but I know people that have gotten it from drinking after someone. Some sites say you can some say you can't. I know most of the population has hsv1 but I'd just like to know if I should be concerned, if it's possible to get it that way. Oh, I also had recently given blood the day before and not sure if that would've effected my immune system any. I know this sounds ridiculous to some but any info/advice would be appreciated. Thanks
