i'd like to thank all who have answered my questions.
I have some more to share...
Do these "online symptoms" actually mean anything or could they be caused by anxiety or stress?
Its almost been 2 weeks since my exposure and i've had a small rash since the 8th day and my arm and leg muscles feel a bit weak... also I have a raging headache.

Could I have gotten something from the broken condom while I was taking it off??
Oh and I've checked my temp a few times and it was always less than 98.6 F.
Really appreciate your answers!!

Online symptoms make me laugh. First i had HIV, then a heart attack, COPD, heart failure etc etc. After having more tests than i can recall, im HIV negative, have a perfect heart and wont have a heart attack. So after scarring myself so many times, i never ever will read symptons online. Its a waste on your time honestly.
To answer, yes stress and anxiety, list the same symptoms are nearly anything, including rediation exposure, yes its true !! :)

You didnt have a exposure, it was just protected sex buddy

Their is a horrible thing which did drive me nuts, its called parnoia. It will make you ill and give you panic attacks, rashes, weak muscles, temp changes etc etc.
Really mate, you have nothing to worry about. HIV transferance is no mystery. You need to have unprotected sex to get HIV ( aprt from medical operations etc etc ) If you penis head is covered you cannot get HIV - fact. Not to mention the other person has to have HIV anyway.
Im guessing its all guilt that is going on in your head nothing more, certainly not from having protected sex buddy. You didnt have any risk of HIV, so time to leave "googlescare" alone and get busy living :)

Stress and anxiety can do amazing things to your body, and what you feel could be from anxiety. It could be from anything, that is why symptom chasing does no good. In your fear of HIV infection, you see one symptom that matches what you feel, and automatically think HIV. A headache could be anytthing from a little stress to something like cancer. If you were not in a heightened fear of HIV, you would probably just ignore what you are feeling.

Ahhh!! Stop checking your temperature! :), that fluctuates all the time in healthy people, you cannot possibly diagnose anything with temp alone.
HIV is not that easy to catch, it is almost always caused by repeaed risky behavior. The CSW tests frequently, and uses condoms all the time. She uses them to protect her from YOU. She has no idea if you had anyhting, so seh demands condom use. It failed this time, but you did not penetrate her. If you did, if was extremely brief.

Relax, you had a negligible( at most, more like no risk) risk IMO. If you are worry, test around the 6 week mark, but only to ease your mind. In the time between now and then, keep it out of your mind :).
Well its been about 2 weeks and I woke up with night sweats... and lo and behold thats also a symptom... :( I'm seeing a HIV counselor in any case to ease my mind...
My sincere thanks to all who answered my questions.
No buddy, low and behold you have simply jumped to the conclusion it is HIV related because you are convinced it can be nothing else. Buddy I woke up this morning covered it sweat, the reason: the room was hot.

Speak to your counsellor, hopefully he or she will put your mind at rest. You really shouldn't be working yourself up like this. Your risk really was very small.

Stop the symptom chasing. HIV cannot be self diagnosed, literally thousands if not millions of people have tried to do it before you, and they have all failed. Your "symptoms" will have absolutely no bearing on the outcome of an HIV test, which you should expect to be negative.

Kevin.
Ok, for peace of mind just test with a DUO or combi, or bear in mind you have created your HIV symptoms, so infact any test now will be conclusive. So if they were HIV your test would be positive, and if your negative you know they are not HIV realted. The fact you have tested negative and so has she, then dont be amazed if you do test and the results are negative.

My opinion, you dont need to test again, i know i wouldnt but its your mind that needs a line drawn under this.

Hope that helps
