Hi,

HIV is never diagnosed by symptoms but what you have described does not in any way resemble the symptoms of primary HIV infection. If they come at all (many times they don’t) they come between 2 to 4 weeks after an infection and last for the same length of time and then they disappear at the same time. They do not keep coming months and months after an HIV infection.

Given that you have already tested negative whatever is wrong with you is not related to an HIV infection. The only way HIV could be inducted into your relationship is if your partner was having sex outside it, this is not the case; therefore you have no HIV concerns. if on the other hand you have any doubts about your HIV status you could have another HIV test.

Kevin.
