Hello about 6 months ago i had protected sex with a prostitute in soho, the intercourse lasted for around 5 to 10 minutes, since then i had an hiv test at 105 days and then again just short of 5 months, both were fourth generation tests and came back as negative, i also had tests for hepatitis b and c which fortunately came back negative as well. I wanted to ask whether i needed another hiv test at 6 months as i have read on some sources online that it can take up to 6 months for hiv antibodies to appear in the body, i know that since the fact that this particular incident was protected my chances of contracting hiv have been reduced but at the same time there is still a slight possibility, what do you think the odds are that i contracted hiv on this occasion bearing in mind i have not had sex since then and should i re test? thank you.
