... i think that 5 days is too soon for ARS symtoms to show, and that ARS related rash is generalised (not three-bumps-here-and-one-there) and is always followed by fever (usually high fever). so, i think your symptoms are not due to HIV. :) anyways, as guys said, Ag/Ab DUO test 4 weeks post exposure or 3rd generation elisa 6-8 weeks post exposure will be practicly... ... Thank you for the response but I belive you misinterpreted this question and I'd hate for others reading this to be misled so I'll answer this myself: ARS symptoms, if any at all, will very rarely occur past the 6 week mark. Symptoms alone do not diagnose HIV. Thank you. (4 replies)
