Since January my breathing has been the worst it has ever been. I am currently on 16 medications and have little relief. I have seen multiple doctors, internists, pulmonologists, allergy/asthma as well. I had blood work done a couple of weeks... (0 replies)

... I understand that there are many parts to making a diagnosis of Lupus or other auto-immune disorders. My ANA titer in December was very weak at 1:40 with speckled pattern to now being 1:320. I also have had joint pain, rash on upper torso and fatigue for 17 months. I saw a new rheumatologist recently who dismissed the ANA titer of 1:320 as insignificant and said since the rash... ... Lenin, The ANA results were speckled and homogeneous. I forgot to add that the ANA started out 1:80 about 6 years ago and held steady at 1:160 for a few years. Once in awhile I'd get a 1:320 but the 1:1260 came out of no where. They have done the other lab work and it comes clean. They have not ruled out RA to my knowledge. My mother has RA so I have mentioned... (11 replies)
... mommy, I was REALLY up on this last year but forgot lots. YES, 1:1260 is a breathtakingly high ANA, did your report show what PATTERN (term like speckled, homogeneous??) I got 1:320, homogenous pattern, and had the butterfly rash and many joint pains I went beserk when I saw my super high ANA. I demanded and got about 5 SPECIFIC tests...with names like single stranded DNA,... (11 replies)
... Thank you so very much...and I probably posted on the incorrect board.:( Do you happen to know if the following blood test results mean anything? All my subtypes came back fine after the positive ANA 1:320 (which, by the way, hasn't changed in 2 years since my first testing)...but I just haven't been feeling well. Too many symptoms to list.:( NE% 76... (3 replies)

... Hi everyone. I just actually got my pelvic MRI back (long story short: my lumbar puncture caused some really bad lower back pain and they did a lumbar/pelvic MRI to make sure there wasn't any nerve damage). Anyway, the results are a bit boggling-- among several things in the report, I have enlarged prominent lymph nodes present in the groin bilaterally. Now, coupled with the... (3 replies)

... We have alot of the same symptoms too. I was diagnosed with myofascial pain and then recently with fibromylasis also. Do you think that that is where your high ANA is coming from is the fibro, I don't know what to think, because nothing else was found. I also have a vitamin d deficiency. ... (9 replies)
... to happen for them to give a diagnosis. you must have 4 out of the 11 critiria in order for them to diagnose you with lupus, because other things can cause the ANA to be elevated. ... (9 replies)
... ly not sure what diseases go with speckled and the nuclear. Mine are both high too, and I know that I tested negative for all of the individual diseases, but my ANA is high too. ... (9 replies)
... My ANA is at 1:2560 Speckeled and 1:640 Nucleolar. Do you or anyone out there nknow the significance to these numbers? (9 replies)
... nal testing and nothing showed up, so I know what you mean. I also was diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome, so I was told that that could relate to the high ANA and it also could not, so I don't know what to think either. I also have Raynauds too and hypoadrenalism. ... (9 replies)
... Have they tested you for any other autoimmune conditions? Some healthy people have raised ANAs but I wouldn't dismiss such a high ANA. As you probably know, normal is less than 1:40. Lots of autoimmune conditions can raise your ANA, and often specific patterns are limited to certain kinds of conditions. I'm fairly certain it is not common to have lupus with a speckled...
