... Have they tested you for any other autoimmune conditions? Some healthy people have raised ANAs but I wouldn't dismiss such a high ANA. As you probably know, normal is less than 1:40. Lots of autoimmune conditions can raise your ANA, and often specific patterns are limited to certain kinds of conditions. I'm fairly certain it is not common to have lupus with a speckled... ... I understand that there are many parts to making a diagnosis of Lupus or other auto-immune disorders. My ANA titer in December was very weak at 1:40 with speckled pattern to now being 1:320. I also have had joint pain, rash on upper torso and fatigue for 17 months. I saw a new rheumatologist recently who dismissed the ANA titer of 1:320 as insignificant and said since the rash... ... Hi all, I went to my PCP for joint pain, fatigued, feeling run down and malaise. I also have just weird pain and stiffness in my neck and back. To give you a background, I have diabetes and had my thyroid removed. Based on my symptoms he ran alot of tests. I just received my bloodwork and it reads the following: Nuclear (ANA) Antibody Value = Speckled Nuclear (ANA)... (0 replies)

... I just received my ana titer test back and it hasn't changed in the last 2 years. I do have worsening aches, gi issues, etc. ... (3 replies)
... I will try to make this short. 2 years ago I had a foot surgery all went well and then a few months after my daughter fell on it and fractured my foot where the anchors were. Had to have surgery to repair the anchors. I developed a post op infection, CRPS and cellulitis as a result from this surgery in April 2011. Since then I have chronic pain and my blood work has... ... Hi- I went in for a check up this past week because I have been having some bilateral ankle pain and also discomfort in my calves on and off now for about 4-6 months. I have a 6 month old baby and just contributed the discomfort to NEVER sleeping. I also wake up during the night and then can't fall back to sleep. Anyways my doc ran a full panel of blood work which came back... (0 replies)
... is not that high. With most rheum problems the ANA titers much farther out. Also, it is not uncommon to have a slightly elevated ANA from time to time. Checking it again in 3 months is a good plan. ... (4 replies)
... I've had a positive ana twice (in the past) and a reflexive panel done once that was unrevealing.>>>>>>> I did too and I have Lupus, the other tests do not have to be positive. It can be normal to have a low ANA especially as you age, like 1:40 or 1:80, but if it goes up from there, something going on. The higher the titer the more likely it's Lupus versus something... ... My ANA is often in the 1:40 to l:60 range and I've been told this is normal. I do not have Lupus. But have you seen a Rheumatologist? (3 replies)
... It depends on the lab as to what the "normal" parameters are. By my lab, a 1:40 titer is normal. Above that (the next ratio is 1:80, then 1:160, 1:320, etc) is considered high. The IgM is considered a risk for Anti-Phospholipid Antibodies. My ANA has never been over 1:320 in a speckled pattern, and my IgM is barely elevated, but I've been diagnosed with both lupus and APS.... (3 replies)
... can someone please teel me what would be considered a high ana titer? ... (3 replies)
... CMV (Cytomegalo Virus) is not just associated with HIV. This can be a symptom of many disorders. CMV can be associated with Hepatitis and other disorders when your body is trying to fight off another disorder that is over whelming to your immune system. It's almost like your blood becomes confused when fighting something chronic, creating CMV. Often CMV is non-symptomatic,... (10 replies)
... Hi, I could not help but reply when I saw CMV. I assume you are speaking of Cytomegalo Virus. I too have CMV. I had it when doctors were not aware of CMV in adults 1970. They always thought babies died of this within 3 months, or were deformed or retarded. This is no longer the case. They have found many adults of whom were born with this and more common in adults... ... My symptoms began with heart arrythmias 8 yrs ago. Irregular beats, pvcs, pacs, psvt, short runs of a-fib. Then I began having panic attack like episodes. Suddenly would feel strange. Warm feeling in chest, pallor, sweaty hands, SOB, chest tightness, tachycardia. Went to ER many times, nothing found. Many heart tests (Negative angiogram, stress-echo, ct scans of heart, PET...
