... I was recently diagnosed with CVID (IgG 4.15 g/l; IgA 0.22 g/l; IgM 0.40 g/l, with a poor vaccination response to pneumococcus (1 out of 9)). My doctor offered me to start with life-long immunoglobulin therapy (IVIG or SCIG). My son already has an iep for other unrelated issues....so we could amend this document if we need to. His school has been very supportive and anxious to help in any way. So far so good. His physician wants to start him on transfusions which he was told will cost $16,000 a month. He has insurance which covers 80%. He would not be able to come up with the $3200 a month so is not...
