... I'm curious to know...what have you found out about this situation? Do they know what is causing your IgA to be so high? Is your SED rate high too? ... VID and no, the ANA is not affected with it. Your immuno can do a pnemonia and DTP vaccine to see if you react to it, that is the final test for CVID. If it is IgM deficiency, there is no treatment from what I understand as Immune Globulin only helps IgG. Good luck. ... (2 replies)

... There are some things I'm not understanding here. Low MCV would not indicate a B12 deficiency - in fact, it's high MCV that tips you off to a B12 or folate deficiency anemia. Secondly, even if you had a high MCV, you had a HIGH B12 count - which I agree sounds like a problem with B12 metabolism. So why are you getting weekly B12 shots??
