... us ans I have also seen a physio and they said Labrythitus but the ENT consultant yesterday didn't actually say what it was but just went straight into doing the Epley manouver which I knew exactly what it was,what did concern me was he never mentioned sitting up all night which I had read ! ... ... I can feel for you! I was nauseous and sick for about a week in March and feel a lot better than then but now my worst part is the anxiety about being worried that I will get dizzy. By the time I went to see my primary doctor he said that it was BPPV, I asked him about the possibility of Meniers, he preformed the Epley manouver, without checking which ear was "affected", and said that should clear the symptoms, that it would be better in a couple of weeks. ... I am not taking any medication as I don't feel it is bad enough for that but these experiences are pretty life inhibiting. ... Hi bonnie, I'm not a doctor but from your description BPPV sounds like a definite possibility. Get yourself checked out by a good otologist, if it is BPPV then they can try a technique called The Epley Manouver (sp?) in their surgery. (11 replies)
