... I don't know what your other symptoms are but it is common for inner ear disorder people to have trouble with stores. When I go into a store I feel very unbalanced and "weird". Sometimes worse than others. My balance therapist said it is good to go into a store slowly. Not just jumping right into the crowds. ... (10 replies)

... Hi Sarah, Thanks for your note. Yes, I'm a biochemist in human nutrition - and you? Also, on a side note, I grew up in hi to another fellow Canadian! I'm quite interested in your use of the antidepressants. Which one did you opt for? I am very close to considering this myself but just don't want to go down that road unless I'm absolutely at the end of my... (20 replies)

... I've read a few of these topics and haven't really come upon something that would help me, so I'm asking for advice. Before I start, I can't get into my ear/nose/throat doctor until the end of August, so I need some kind of relief. This is my second spell of dizziness, I guess you would call it. The first time was about 3 months ago and I just woke up out of bed with the... (2 replies)

... Hi Noodypooh, I felt just the same as you when I discovered this site! Finding people who understand this horrible thing has been a life-saver. I am hoping to go back to work soon - but it seems very daunting. It's funny you should say you feel better if you move around more - as I'm starting to get like that now, too. When it has been really bad, keeping still is all I... (30 replies)

... This might seem like a crazy theory, but I'm really curious -- did anyone else have an earthquake in their area prior to the onset of vertigo/dizziness/ear pressure/etc? I ask because it's happened to me twice now, and it seems like a strange coincidence... So here's my story (sorry it's long): This spring there was a 6.8 earthquake in my town. It was the first real quake... (0 replies)
