Hi Everyone,

Just in case you're wondering my results from the CAT scan. I found out that my kidneys and other organs seems normal. There was a small type of mass 6mm which they said was too small to do anything about and shouldn't cause any issue. They did confirm that I do have a horseshoe kidney.

I took an X-Ray of my spine and they found that I have some thinning discs so this may be the reason why I get lower back pain. The pain isn't unbearable but it can get annoying. I'm just trying to work out my core by doing non-weight type exercises such as push-ups, ab workouts and such. I'm hoping that if I strengthen my core, I would feel less lower back pain.

I still have this weird dull right side ache. I'm thinking that it may be my liver but if I'm not mistaken, I was informed that my liver was okay too but I need to re-check my paperwork. I've received my results over a month ago so it's been a while. I'm just glad that it wasn't kidney cancer.

I'm probably going to do another checkup to see if they can find anything else.

Hey, I've had a weird dull right side ache for 4 months now. I also mostly feel it when I'm sitting at my desk and it also makes it uncomfortable to sleep on my right side. It's mostly just a mild discomfort under my lower ribs on the right side. I could live with it if I knew it wasn't something serious that would get worse and eventually kill me. So I've had several tests done. I had an abdominal ultrasound and CT scan. Both showed that my kidneys, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen appear normal. I then had a colonoscopy. They said I had no polyps and come back in ten years. Next I had an EGD. Based on the EGD, the doctor told me I had acid reflux. This surprised me since I've never had heartburn in my life. He also said I had a very small non-bleeding ulcer on the left side of my stomach. He did say that in some cases acid reflux can cause pain in the ribs. He prescribed Nexium and Carafate and told me to come back in three months. If it hasn't improved by then I'm going to ask him about a hida scan for the gallbladder. If I'm correct, based on some posts I've seen here, this test shows how well your gallbladder is functioning. If it's not functioning correctly it could cause pain even when it appears normal on ultrasounds and CT scans (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
