... gist. I also didnt have insurance for labs at the time so he kind of kept it simple but he did lead me to believe autoimmune was ruled out. I do remember reading ANA isnt always positive though. I have a similar situation - up and down enzymes for years they bump up and then normalize, Ultrasound shows fatty liver, MRI seemed to support that, but they say you don't know until they do a biopsy, so I'm thinking about this. ... to put an end to the wondering but I'm not sure I would have the guts to have a biopsy. They say it is not really painfull. I do know that the lipitor makes your enzymes go up. Even though yours were high prior to lipitor does not mean the lipitor is making it continue on. ... (7 replies)
