... MRIs of the abdomen are not usually helpful because soft tissue shows up better on CT scan. I would not worry about a single CT scan exposure. Radiation concerns are not a problem unless you've had many CTs. I think the high bilirubin is more a problem than the low lipase. ... (10 replies)

... The ast and alt test only measure acute damage to the liver those can be raised only temporarily due to recent alcohol abuse. Same with ggt I believe. The high direct bilirubin is what would scare me as that can point to permanent liver damage such as cirrhosis. Notice I sain CAN. ... (16 replies)
