... Yes in my case I was baffled because I actually weigh about 5 lbs more now then when I had my first liver test in July, and I was not overweight to begin with so my doctors ruled that out. The thing is I first mentioned the peridontal disease to my gastro doctor and he didn't make any connection. ... (30 replies)

It was diagnosed after abnormal blood tests revealing high liver enzymes and it was caused by 20 years of taking birth control pills. ... (16 replies)
