Cancer: Lung Message Board

Cancer: Lung Board Index

Hi everyone this is my first time posting.
My husband has stage 111a lung cancer, just finished two months of clinical trials radiation and concurrent chemo on feb 28th.(Taxol/Carboplatin every monday for 7weeks and 38 radiation) his tumour was 27mm by 24mm on his top right lobe and also into the main bronchi tube.He had no bad side effects from the chemo but the radiation gave him some problems (swallowing and burning sensation) he is coughing lots and brings up phlem. The last three weeks he has had a little blood in his phlem every morning, so we called our radiation oncologist and she had our Lung specialist phone us. He said the blood was from the radiation and it was just small fragments breaking off. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. He is still coughing but no blood for the last three days.
I pray everyday for my husband of 34 yrs. and everyone else with this horrible disease.
STAY STRONG EVERYONE
