Lung & Respiratory Disorders / COPD Message Board

Lung & Respiratory Disorders / COPD Board Index

For the past year+ I have had this problem where it seems I get huge amounts of phlegm or whatever in the back of my throat. So I constantly get the need to cough, snort or whatever to try to clear it out, but I can never clear it out.

This usually tends to happen anytime after I eat or drink ANYTHING. If I go an entire day without any food or drink it usually doesnt happen.

Anyways for the past year+ i have had trouble sleeping with this problem, no matter how I lay down and try to sleep, I will wake up constantly coughing my lungs out and in tears to the point where I almost puke. I have been taking nyquil to let me sleep. I once stopped taking nyquil to see if that was the problem, and it wasn't.

Could someone please tell me what the hell is wrong with me?
