I am a 26 year old male. I have a burning/sore sensation in my left upper chest area. It seems to be OK when I am standing up but after sitting down for twenty minutes or so, it becomes very uncomfortable. It is the same when I lie on that side of my chest. it is generally ok during the day when I am standing up but it still feels tight and uncomfortable when I breathe.

About three months ago someone hit me in that area and I was slightly short of breath for a few days afterwards. After that, when I breathed in deeply it still felt unusually tight. Then about a month ago it worsened for no apparent reason as I described above.

As it hasn't sorted itself out I am going to see a doctor in a few days, I probably should have done this a long time ago. Any advice/idea as to what it is would be much appreciated. Thankyou very much.
