... CT scans are Expensive (& potentially deadly though the risk is small, still, there is no 'safe' amount of radiation). I think you deserve a written explanation of the two CT readings: 3mm vs 4.7/4.6mm. sf editted to add: last resort: arrange for your own private pay CT scan, but I don't recommend that until you've exhausted all alternatives including waiting ahh,... ... moke, you should see this as a wake up call and stop. If you have some type of respiratory symptoms, then get them checked out. ... All of your symptoms may all be due to the inflammation. The nodule can be anything, and usually nothing...just some incidental finding when you have a ct scan. Of course they could be cancerous, but not necessarily. ... (6 replies)
... l rib, after a cold, and it happened two years in a row, so my GP sent me to a thoricic surgeon to see if he could figure out what was causing the rib pain.
