I havn't had a cold or flu. i'm a non-smoker, but recently i've been coughing up phlegm with some blood. It feels like my chest is collasping when i cough, and aches, and after a short time my lungs have a weird warm sensation unsettling me.. Any advice on what is causeing this? Or should i see a Doc as soon as possible?
Dan,

I highly recomend you see a pulmonologist. You can have an infection without having had a cold. When coughing up blood and phlem is a sign of something serious going on, be it TB, or MAC, or some other serious infection.
Please see a Doc ASAP! Even a trip to the ER can possibly get you some answers! Make sure you tell them your symptoms when you "check in", Im sure they will get you into a room rather quickly being that TB is contagious. I'm not saying that is what you DO have, but it's better to be safe than sorry! Coughing up blood streaked phlem is not something to take with a "wait and see" attitude with, your health depends on it. Listen to your body, its speaking loud and clear.
I wish you the best. Please let us know how you make out.
Take care, and GOd bless.
Annette
more than likely you have a plura infection.if you press the palm of your hand between your chest does it hurt ???? or have a radiating pain out of your back ?
pls get a check up.asap
