Pain in left lung
Jan 18, 2009
I began having severe pain in my lungs in May. I went to my GP who sent me to a pulmonary specialist. He diagnosed Acid Reflux disease. He said I was aspirating acid into my lungs. I then went to a Gastroenterologist who did numerous tests. He wasn't sure about what to do so sent me to a gastro internal specialist in Atlanta. In Dec., he ran tests and said my acid reflux was under control and acid wasn't reaching my esophagus. I told him I still have pain in my left lung in the upper right corner. He wants me to go back to the pulmonary specialist. I had an EKG done in Aug.because I had a medium blood clot 9 yrs. ago that went through my heart and into my right lung. The EKG showed my heart hadn't suffered permanent damage but it is enlarged on the right side due to the embolism. My question is, "Is the pain coming from my heart or is it my lung? It doesn't hurt to press where the pain is. It feels kind of like the pain you have when you have been running too fast. It is a deep almost sore feeling. Any suggestions?
