Lung & Respiratory Disorders / COPD Board Index

Okay, so my right lung has collapsed 3 times for no apparent reason. Only one of those times resulted in a chest tube, and another time they asperated with a needle.
I am now set to have surgery to hopefully keep this from happening again. The surgery is laproscopic, which is a relief, but I would love to hear from others who've had the procedure done. apparently they are cutting off the top part of my right lung, removing any blebs and scuffing up the outside of my lung and my chest cavity to cause scar tissue so that the lung will stick to the chest cavity and not collapse again.
I would really appreciate any information on recovery, pain and basically life after surgery. Is there anything more that I should know going into this surgery?

Thanks
Tanya
