Actually I live in Ireland and was prescribed Nexium after an Endoscopy showed I had had an Ulcer also H.Pylori . My Hiatal-Hernia was also found at the same time but I was told it did not require surgery.

Interesting thing about my condition is that I thought my symptoms were just a part of asthma for many years. Doctor's re-enforced this belief by upping my asthma meds whenever I felt bad, even if peak flow was okay.
