... thank you so much there are 2 that are about 8 mm they started outas 3mm than dr said that others are small but their are plenty i also have at home iv infussions daily through my pic line. just cant take the pain anymore er dr saidfollow closely wit my pulmonologist that was his advice will update tmorrow after dr t see what next step is (12 replies)

... That would make a huge difference. Also the location is important, whether these are actual nodules in the lungs vs hilar nodes, which can be from benign conditions. CT scan should be helpful, and I would wait to see what that shows. ... (6 replies)

... Rosie, Welcome to the boards. I can tell you my experience and a little more about lung nodules in general. I have had lung nodules in past about the same size. 4mm is small, and the smaller they are the more likely to be benign. ... (1 replies)

... I have seen the pulmonologist. He believes there is some calcification in the nodule, which would indicate it being benign. He also said that I'm low risk due to having never smoked. He wants to monitor and check it every 4 months for any changes. I'm hoping it will stay as it is and be OK, and I do feel better about it. Thanks for your reply and concern :) (2 replies)

... they are using MY CT scan as a teaching tool today, because of how this infection CAN "look" just like cancer. Doctors really have a huge dilema when it comes to lung cancer and early detection. The fact cancer cells can be missed in a biopsy, you can get a "false negative". ... (5 replies)
... Welcome to the boards! Yes, from what I have read, Rheumatoid Arthritis can cause lung nodules. The common approach with a nodule like yours is a 'wait and see' approach. If there is no change in it in 2 years, it is considered benign. ... (1 replies)
... doctor said my stomach was red and inflamed...thought I might have the H. Pylori Bacteria, but the biopsy said no. Soo, as for the Pulmonary Doctor crediting the lung stuff to my stomach, well, it's not fitting into that box. Maybe it's a pat answer that's given for all lung nodules...I don't know. ...
