... oxygen now, weak but determined to get better, although I do not think he will be to where he was before this ordeal. He came home breathing worse than when his lung collapsed and he never needed the oxygen before but anything is better than the hospital and I can already see somewhat of an improvement even though small. ... ... chest tube yesterday then took another xray to see how the lung does and to see if the drainage stopped, well the drainage is still there and quite a bit and the lung now has another air leak, not sure if it's a new hole or around the staple spot. Seems like this will never end and he is very depressed and discouraged. ... (26 replies)

... we see the surgeon today, but the tube site is infected and now he is hurting on the inside but lower from the tube insertion site. I have a feeling he will be admitted and I would think they will have to clear up the infection before performing surgery. They said if they remove the tube the lower lobe would collaspe completely but he seems to be getting worse not better and... (26 replies)
