... He may have a swallowing problem, or what's called "silent reflux." There's no heartburn, but the stomach acid still irritates the lungs. A gastroenterologist might be able to help, but if your husband won't go, you can't drag him. (4 replies)

... Reflux can also cause your cough. I have that problem, as well as asthma. You can have "silent" reflux where you don't have any heartburn. If you are coughing after eating, you might want to do some checking into this. ... (5 replies)

... he is a young man, just 33 but has a cough all the time. He's been to an asthma doc who says he is just fine. but he coughs when he wakes up, after eating, and all throughout the day.
