... I highly recomend you see a pulmonologist. You can have an infection without having had a cold. When coughing up blood and phlem is a sign of something serious going on, be it TB, or MAC, or some other serious infection. ... (2 replies)

... See and ear nose and throat Doctor and get scoped to find out what is going on. They can usually tell if it is coming from sinus area. The other thing I would suggest is to just try an antihistamine over the counter and see if that helps. If it does then you are probably having allergy problems.
