... Spent the last night in emergency with similar symptoms and diagnosis. I'm coughing up dark red phlegm on a semi-regular basis, for the last 12 hours. I have no fever, and not really any other symptoms other than a little bit of tightness in my chest. And strangest of all to me, no fever. Aren't you supposed to have a fever if you get an infection?
