... You need a High Resolution CT of the lungs! I had the same thing for months. The doctor kept telling me Bronchitis, allergies, sinus drainage, etc. All the while doctoring me for all of this. ... I've had the same exact thing since mid August! It's driving me nuts and I'm very worried too. I've been on all sorts of allergy meds and antibiotics and a clear chest x-ray-but now I have a cough. I went to a spin class at the gym last night because I was sick of feeling like an invalid not able to breath and it seemed ok except my lungs really hurt after-when I inhaled.... (6 replies)

... Hello All, I will try to not make this too long. I have had difficulty breathing since Mid August it did sorta come on all of a sudden so I went to Dr she thought sinus infection took the antibiotics. I guess it cleared that up but the breathing still not too good. Then she suspected allergies I'm now on Zyrtec,Rhinocort, Flovent and Maxair. but the inhalers have no real... (6 replies)

I am not taking this lightly, but, it does give me hope that we dont have to be terrified of him going below 23% (meaning that getting below 23% doesnt necessarily mean death soon)--I did, however, speak to his P.A. after I posted this. She said that if he did not quit smoking, that we are looking at 1-2 years max. I am not counting on him quitting, as he is not that strong... (3 replies)

... Hi vine, I did a search on ask.com and this si some of what I found. Hope it helps and please don't somke anything anymore. AFTER QUITTING… YOUR BODY BEGINS TO REPAIR ITSELF AS SOON AS YOU STOP SMOKING 20 minutes after quitting… blood pressure and pulse rates drop to normal, and temperature to hands and feet return to normal. ... I'm not sure reading your post was a good idea for me. My husband has genetic emphesyma that causes emphesyma in the lower lobes of the lungs and the docs said he would need a double lung transplant in 5-10 years. Well, this is year 10!!! We've been living with A1AT for 10 years now!!! I can't live if he dies!!! Sometimes I think it's not good to tell everything. :( (8 replies)
