... Hi, Kobeck. X-rays aren't a good way to diagnose emphysema, unless it is advanced. C-t scans are better: they show everything wrong with the lungs, much more clearly. Good luck to you...Deb (1 replies)
... hyperinflated lungs mean just big lungs...or balloon like lungs that are full of air.........its the aveoli's that are affected in emphesemia,,,,,,did he mention that to you :angel: i get pains in my ribs too but it is caused by holding my diaphram too tight because i suffer from anxiety,,,what was your spirometer test like...thats the breath test...if you have not had that... aveoili damage is the sign of emphesemia......did you have a spirometer test?
what was your lung capacity,,,,my friend has been diagnosed with it and she still gets 93% on her spirometor reading
