... Hello, I accidentially ran across this post and just had to say something. My oldest daughter, now 30, was born not being able to breathe good, turning purple, stopped breathing several times a day, and could not swallow. ... I don't have the other conditions but I do have very severe asthma and I am seen at National Jewish for it. There I met a boy who had these disorders. He was being evaluated for severe asthma, but in reality he had laryngomalacia! Was your daughter premature or ever had to be on a ventilator as a child? I am betting her desaturation was due to her asthma, though I'm sure... (10 replies)

... Hi bakingnut, Well it just goes to show doesn't it. Us mums are right when we feel something is wrong. Why do the Dr's not realise this. I cannot believe that your poor daughter has been left like this, does she cope ok, can she lead a near normal life.! I am so glad my kids are now 15 and 17, because when they were little the doctors always thought i was just saying things... (10 replies)
... Hi ticp5 , i am sorry to hear how badly affected your baby is, it is such a worry and struggle isnt it. All the Dr's have said that the windpipe strengthens and should be near normal by the time they are 12 months old. So that is something to look forward to. My daughter is now 17, and lives a near normal life, but she is one that didnt grow out of it. My thoughts are with... (10 replies)
