I am sorry to hear about your husband. All I can say is I do not recommend diapham plication surgery. I am 53 years old and had the surgery June 8. Within 7 weeks many of the stitches had come out and my lung capacity remains at 35% - same as it was before surgery. I am seeing a new doctor this week who specializes in spinal therapy.
