... You may have pluresy. It is an inflammation of the plurea, the outer covering of your lungs. It can hurt very sharply like a knife plunging into you when you take a deep breath. The treatment is anti inflamatory drugs like asprin or motrin and moist heat on the affected area. You should still see a specialist just to be certain. (2 replies)
