... You could try going back to the doctor and ask him to listen to your chest. If he hears any wheezing, rhonchi, or rales, you could get an inhaler to help. The inhaler would relax the muscles around your airways, thus helping the mucus come up.
The most important thing with bronchitis is to get as much mucus as you can up. Leaving it down there can cause pneumonia. (6 replies)
... What can i do to get this stuff out of my chest? The prescription expectorant (Iophen i think its called), and humidifier arent helping. Hot showers loosen me for a few minutes, but thats it. Any magical solutions?

... Well I just called the dr the other day. I didnt actually go see him. as of right now, my temp has fallen to around 99.5. Im feeling better, hoping the worst is over. However, Im having a tough time getting the stuff out of my chest. after a hot shower helped, and i do have a humidifier, but its been slow to come out. when it has, its been very brown with some yellow.
