6mm lung nodule

... CT scans are Expensive (& potentially deadly though the risk is small, still, there is no 'safe' amount of radiation). I think you deserve a written explanation of the two CT readings: 3mm vs 4.7/4.6mm. sf editted to add: last resort: arrange for your own private pay CT scan, but I don't recommend that until you've exhausted all alternatives including waiting ahh,... ... d doctor said scan showed something on his lung, and that he needed to have an immediate Pet scan the following Monday and possible surgery to remove part of his lung on Tuesday. My husband had to remind the doctor of his prior lung nodule, and asked how he could suggest surgery without any comparison........... ... (0 replies)

I read you'r post i also have the same problem only my nodular is 9x12 i smoke, but the place i worked in has asbestos,you need to go to a pulmoary doctor, they are going to do a bronchoscopic biopsy to see if it is cancer, because of the size of it they think it is cancer, where i am with it right on, it's in god's hand's if this is his will, who am i to argue with him, try... ... i have a heart condition nodules showed up in may and just was released from hospital the 3 i had grew and then they said well over 12 now. still in pain and trouble breathing very tired too go to pulmonologist tomorrow found them on cat scan just scared oh and have fatty liver too (12 replies)

... days prior they gave me and ekg and the doctor said he saw abnormality in my left lung so I went for a CAT scan and they said I have a nodule in my upper left lung but they dismissed it saying I can get a recheck cat scan in 9 months to a year from now to see if the nodule grows.. ... ... Hi Gumbyu I wouldn't worry too much. I have several nodules in my lungs which were found incidentally when I had a ct scan 2 years ago for other reasons (like you). They repeated the CT 6 months later and the nodules were unchanged. I have some calcifications other places (spleen) as well from some past infections. I suspect the nodules are also scar tissue related to... (3 replies)
