... Cassandra, Is the white spot something reported when looking at cat scan results? If so, it could be many things. If they are referring to it as a nodule, it could be scarring, atelectasis (an area of collapsed lung), even a shadow. Most CT's will show an aproximate size of the area that looks suspicious. It may help to ask your health care provider some more questions... (1 replies)

Mine reported many things, but one of the items on the report was linear scarring or atelectasis in the right lower lobe, adjacent minimal consolidation, which probably relects atelectasis and scattered dependent subpleural...
