... Mederith, No I had NO symptoms at all. Mine was an "incidental" finding. I was having a pre-op chest x-ray for an unrelated surgery. They then ordered a CT scan and found the 6mm "stelate" nodule. They recomended to repeat scan every three months, and as I said at the 6th month scan it tripled in size to 1.9cm and became spiculated. I had no weeze, no cough, no crackles... (7 replies)

... sure, it was cancer! I went through a cancer "staging" procedure biopsing all the lymph nodes in my chest, and all were benign. The nodule itself was in an area they couldnt biopsy, plus, unless they can get a positive biopsy for either fungus, infection, or malignant cells ect.. ... (5 replies)

... peat CT scan, of which I did, that scan there was no change, then another 3 month scan this nodule tripled in size and became "spiculated" by the time I had surgery it was 3cm in size origanly it was only 6mm, so they can grow rapidly. ... (23 replies)

... Because of where this nodule was, they couldnt biopsy it. THey ran a PET scan which showed "Hypermedobolic uptake" which also can indicate cancer. ... (23 replies)

... uglynow, How long has this "mass" been there, you said he was 19 when it was a "nodule", how old is he now? Let me tell you my story, and try to give you peace of mind somewhat. Im 43 and I had a nodule detected in a May of 2007 in my right lung, they did another CT scan in August of 2007 and it was stable, no growth, it was 6mm, about the size of the tip of my pinky. So...
