... I posted a while back having a positive ANA with titer 1:1280. This was ordered by my neuro, along with Anti DS DNA, sed rate, anticardiolipin antibodies, TSH, SSA, SSB and Lyme. The only thing abnormal was the anticardiolipin IGM at 14. Neuro referred me to Rheumotologist. I saw him about a month ago and he ordered all antibodies. 18 tubes worth of blood! At my first... ... Hello, I am new to this forum, but thought that I can turn here for answers while waiting for additional test results. One month ago, I had bronchitis and the flu. After arriving at work, I became EXTREMELY fatigue to the point that I was going to pass... (1 replies)

... Hi, Confused. Welcome! I'm sorry for your problems & worry. All of us here know how nervous-making this is. The evaluation, tests, etc. can take a few weeks to yield answers, hopefully firm answers, but sometimes only preliminary... In the meantime, the sticky posts (permanent info posts) are a good place to start reading. They're right above the user posts; look for the word... (1 replies)

... Good to know alicake. Thank you! My rheumatologist and allergist both told me about the 15% of the population with a positive ana and nothing else, but they said those are not usually a high positive like mine (1:1280). They both acted like symptoms would be coming. My appointment in August is with Dr. David Mclain. He is the guru around here and many people travel out of... (9 replies)
... My allergist ran ana panels twice and both came back positive with 1:1280. The rest of my bloodwork was normal and did not specify a specific autoimmune disease. I was referred to a rheumatologist. I do not have 4/11 symptoms for diagnosis and my doctor does not want to treat my lab results. He treats symptoms. My symptoms are as follows: Mom has epstein barr Subnormal temp... (9 replies)
... Hi Sjogrens Yes. With the little understanding I have of the ANA 1:1280 is that there are numerous causes for this count and not all relating to LUPUS. There are a number of variables. I am going to be patient and wait for more tests. Will post the results, when I get them. I will have a better direction then. Cheers. (19 replies)
... That's interesting, I, too, have an ANA titer of 1:1280 and a nucleolar pattern. I also had a homogeneous pattern at 1:160. My doctor thinks I have early lupus, but not scleroderma because I don't have the skin changes. I do have acid reflux, which started a few months ago, and I know that is a sign of scleroderma. But it can be due to a wide variety of other conditions,... (5 replies)

... alled and left a msg stating the results were "interesting" and she was sending us to a pediatric rhuematologist. We have an appt in a few weeks. I looked up the ANA tests and what the results might mean. And, I'm scared to death for my daughter. If all of her other blood work was normal, wouldn't that help rule out lupus? ... (4 replies)
... Hello all, I am brand new to this forum and just got diagnosed with Lupus last week. Some background info: I have hypothyroidism--on meds and under control--but didn't show Antithyroid antibodies (TPOAb). Had my 1st pregnancy followed by miscarriage in March (5 months ago). Six weeks ago, I was perfectly normal and healthy. Then, I woke up one morning, with the left... (3 replies)
... Lenin, I have all of my recent labs right by me. The ANA has been slowly going up for the last 5 years (after the first positive at 1:60 in 1999). The lab ran the test 3 times to make sure and all 3 times came the same result (1:1280, not 1260 as I thought). I see here the DNA ds,ss, and Histone (Homogeneous) as well as the SM, RNP, SCL-70, SS-A/SS-B (speckled) on the... (18 replies)
