... friend......I am 52 and still have my periods...they come every month....sometimes on time, sometimes not. Sometimes they last 4 days, sometimes 2. This one I'm in now brought along horrible cramps like I was having a baby.....hurt so bad. ... (5 replies)

... Yerdua- I'm so glad you found out the problem. Good thing you went to have it checked. I like the dried ginger myself. I think it's considered "candied"? In the health food store. Ginger can have a stimulting effect so don't do like I did (on vacation once) and try it before bed. (5 replies)

... Nausea has been one of the worst symptoms for me, and I have had "episodes" for years - long before I thought of perimenopause. It is a feeling exactly like morning sickness, in my case - like I could vomit, but I need to eat at the same time. ... I too had the nausea. Wow is it annoying. I found it crept up in the most unusual circumstances. Now I keep a bottle of ginger tabs in my purse. It's one of the only herbal remedies, other than vitamins, that I've found really works well! The nausea does seem to come in phases. ... (12 replies)
