... he test itself. No, they usually do not sedate you....yes, if your doctor agrees, they can give you a xanax or something to take the edge off before the test. NO it doesnt hurt at all...only the first quick stick of the novacaine needle to numb the area is all that is felt..and its over so quickly. ... (3 replies)

... pinion. Others will tell you that starting the medication asap is vital to not progressing, kind of my doctors school of thought. The bottom line is this disease does NOT happen overnight. I dont know of anyone who has one single symtom and a diagnosis... ... (45 replies)

... Ok, you asked about the spinal tap...its not nearly as bad as they make it out to be. The day of the spinal tap, you will be asked to drink lots of water and also caffeine! Caffeine wards off the famous spinal tap headache that everyone will start talking about. ... (18 replies)
... Yes they numb the area and for most people it does not hurt unless that have a problem afterwards and do not follow the doctors instructions. My problem it that I AM NOT AFFECTTED BY ANY PAIN MED. OR LOCAL ANIT. This causes problems at the Dentist, getting stitches, you name it. ... (9 replies)
