... Hi there. I have had more then One LP in my lifetime...both for MS dx and to rule out menigitis, which I was exposed to...Ive had good experiences each time. The key to a Spinal Tap, is to drink a ton of caffeine the day before (start now) and the day of the test..caffeine helps ward off the headache..and more importantly STAY FLAT ALL DAY. ... The spinal tap is not nearly as bad as it is made out to be. The recovery was worse than the actual tap for me. If you don't lay completely flat for a few hours or sometimes even a few days afterward, you can get an awful spinal headache. ... (2 replies)
