Abnormal EMG
Nov 7, 2006
... Thanks for the reply. The EMG was done approximately two weeks after my last intense workout/weight training. As of that time, my CPK was back to less than 100, stable (multiple checks). I think I should add and remove a symptom to make things easier. I do believe most of the muscle weakness had disappeared. It no longer feels "odd" when I keep the gas pedal down in... (8 replies)

Abnormal EMG

... My main complaint right now is the twitching and weakness I am experiencing. Mainly in my calves and upper arms (both places that I substantially worked out before all of this happened). Abnormal EMG
Nov 5, 2006
... I am not a doctor  , but I do think that normal CPK (for someone not having muscle breakdown or cardiac event) is more like 100. I think chances are good that the work-outs caused some or all of this, my big concern is lingering symptoms of muscle pain and weakness. I worked as a dialysis RN for years, and I saw a few patients on treatment because of rhabdomylosis... (8 replies)
Abnormal EMG
Nov 4, 2006
... Thats my question though. Is 1200 a high cpk? If it is, and can cause muscle breakdown, then yeah .... chances are that me working out too hard caused all of this, especially since my CPK came down after I stopped working out so much. If 1200 is high enough of a CPK to cause a little muscle aching, then I will believe my doctors, because thats what they keep telling me: I... (8 replies)
Abnormal EMG
