... Hi jemisu27. Well, yes and no. Like you, I am sure now that it had something to do with the nasty virus I got. In hindsight, I really shouldn’t have continued doing all that physical labour while under the influence of influenza. Everybody knows that this is a dangerous thing to do. But, there you go. The thing that had me frightened about this in the first place was... (3 replies)
... they just might. You can get thigh weakness from muscular imbalance between your calves and your thighs as they are apposing muscles. You can get it from weak knees and connective tissue. You can get it from bad hip joints. ... (13 replies)
... Confusa, thanks for your reply. I absolutely do get a hypoglycaemic feeling quite regularly which comes and goes. Which is why my wife was convinced I had diabetes. As it turned out I am a “borderline diabetic” needing – for the moment – no treatment. Basically insulin responds too slowly. When the hypoglycaemic feeling does go for short periods of time, my muscles feel... (13 replies)

... Hi Billy, I am not really getting any dizzy spells or anything. I just have weakness in my thighs for some completely unknown reason. Anxiety can be a very powerful physical force. It can manifest itself in very physical ways. ... (13 replies)

... The symptoms you listed in your first post below are VERY similiar to what happened to me about 3 years ago!!! I was shocked to see your post. I'm sure I have posted here about my journey during the last 3 years trying to get information on what was wrong with me. I will tell you that I have learned a lot of things and may have found the culprit, but am waiting to be sure. ... (13 replies)
... Ever since I went camping about 5 weeks ago, my thighs have been very wobbly and weak. It is freaking me out a little as I have never had anything more than muscle stiffness after exercise. ... (13 replies)
... I'm wondering, too, as I exhibit many of these same symptoms, but I am not a runner. (3 replies)
... I found your post, and it seems like there may have been a thread? If there was, I can't see it anywhere. I'm wondering how things turned out for you, and if anyone else had the same issue and knew what it was? (3 replies)
... I have been searching for symptoms like mine, and I found them here. Mine started with a nasty virus in April that left my legs fatigued and sore on the insides, progressed to pains and twitching all over my body. EMG was normal, and all the rheum found was a slightly elevated c3 level. Pain has gotten better and twitching is better some days than others, but fatigue in legs... (3 replies)
... i did not read all the post..but the one i read...my first thought was adrenal fatigue. the virus you had may have weakend your immune system and your adrenals had to work a bit harder...look into adrenal fatigue with a 24 hour stress test, read about it.... do you get jittery hypoglycemic feeling? the blood work sometimes only shows am readings. just a thought (13 replies)
... I know how terrible it is to deal with this. This weekend while shopping I had to go up a flight of stairs. They were pretty high. I have stairs at work, but they are not high and I tolerate them okay. I did pretty well I must say. I held the rail and took my time. Later in the day though, my legs were VERY stiff. I walk like an old woman! I'm glad you mentioned a... (13 replies)
... Hi Togbabe. Your symptoms sound very much like what I'm going through. At first I noticed the odd mild dizzy spell but recently they have gotten much worse and I lose balance, especially when going down slopes. I thought I had vertigo but after being but on a course of serc 16 I am as bad as ever. After speaking with a very brainy pre-med friend of mine she felt it could be... (13 replies)
... Actually Kendra, I forgot to mention, I also went on a course of doxycycline for just to rule out lyme disease. As it can have similar symptoms. In case I got bitten by a tick while out camping. Doctor said it couldn’t hurt. But no effect.’ One thing – though – I might try from reading your post. The vitamin D. I might start taking a supplement and see if there is any... (13 replies)
... Thank you so much for your reply Kendra. The symptoms still haven’t gone away. I am getting sore doing – well – just normal things. I did get a doctor to give me a sugar stress test and it came back as – what she called – a “borderline diabetic.” She says it is just “something to watch.” I almost wish I could point to something like a thyroid problem – not to trivialize... ... O.K., MRI came back with no problems except a bulging lower back disk which - apparently - is not impinging on any nerves. So now I am completely at a loss. I have another appointment in a month with my neurologist again - mainly just to find out why she hasn't asked for more tests. I don't know like a muscle biopsy or something. I have a sneaky feeling that she just... (13 replies)
... Oh well, no 'words of wisdom' from anybody yet. I am off for an MRI tomorrow. Symptoms are now in my upper arms as well. Very creepy and frightening. I guess I will keep posting as I find out more - if for nothing more than - to give some information to anybody else who googles these symptoms. (13 replies)
... Thanks for your message. My 7 years old, my hero, has some other syndrom though. His symtops are (pardon bad spelling): - weak hands and feet - weak upper torso - strong thighs/legs - no apitite. We need to probe feed him three times a day. (10 replies)
