If the spreading doesn't stop, will it eventually affect the nerves controlling your heart, liver, kidneys, brain? Mine is very severe. It's in my feet, legs, hands and now in my vagina and anus. I'm only 41 and this just started in September. I can't get around without a wheel chair. What will stop or slow the progression? Please help me!!!
I see no one has answered you.
First of all.........do you have a cause for your PN??????? What have DRs said to you????
I am 47 and have had this and been complaining of it for 3-4 years almost going out of my mind. Two Drs brushed me off saying it is idiopathic...
Since JAn of 2003 I have been searching with multiple DRs and tests and have been Dx with lupus which has affected my CNS (central nervous system) and this is the cause of my peripheral neuropathy. My new DR is fearful t will be going to my hands so he has put me on a drug called Imuran to stop or try to stop the Lupus progression.
Of course I take neurontin for the PN symptoms and my dosage has helped about 65% I would say.
