... My vitamin D levels tested at 32 (35-100). My doctor felt that I should be more in the 50 to 100 range and so I tood 50000IU's per week for 13 weeks. Last test showed my levels at 70. Much better according to the doc. Now I am on a maintenance dose of 1000IU's in addition to what is in my multi and calcium supplements. We will test again after awhile to make sure it is... ... Hi Myth - this has been a very interesting thread. A lot of stuff that has needed to be said. As far as vitamin D - Yes - I was tested and was deficient. My Doc put me on 50000IU's for 13 weeks to build up my supply. After the 13 weeks I retested and was at 78 (35-100). In June of 2005 I had surgery for Crohn's Disease and the Gastroenterologist wanted me to get a BDT test and I finally got one this month....and it wasn't good!!
