... Hello! I am new to this whole arena. I have been reading and reading over this site ALL WEEKEND! I went for my PAP about two weeks ago-abnormal Colposcopy last week Got my results of CINIII/Severe Dysplasia this past Friday. HOW SCARY! This site has kinda put my mind at ease though. ... Call your dr again if you are worried. Ask if the margins were clear of the cin3 and ais. You have a right to your reports and the noisy wheel gets the grease. In the meantime, breathe. It is a good sign they haven't called you back right away to get more, so maybe they got it all. Stay hopeful you will beat this. (3 replies)

... It's very unlikely for CIN1 to turn into cancer. First of all, 90-ish% of CIN1s spontaneously revert back to normal. In the 10% that don't, if you keep getting your Paps regularly, any further changes would be caught and easily treated long before they became invasive cancer.
